Often time’s hackers and internet predators develop Pop-ups attractive to young children that once clicked lay tracks and recording bugs granting them access to view all internet surfing including confidential online transactions and email exchanges. Danger can also be masked as fraudulent online contests geared towards young children requesting personal information to enter to win game consoles and other electronics.

By applying filters to your child’s access you are minimizing the chances of inappropriate exposure while they surf the web. Review your computer security software manual to learn how to manage your parental controls.

The American Diabetes Association expressed its sincerest thanks to Attorney Steven Hart of Hart & Hart, PC for their generous contribution toward Mr. Kessler’s Father of the Year campaign. The contribution will go toward funding ADA’s research, community education and advocacy programs.

The Georgia Department of Human Resources reported that in 2009 alone, there were over 700,000 cases of diabetes mellitus diagnosed and estimated undiagnosed cases at over 300,000 in the state of Georgia.

Diabetes mellitus (MEL-ih-tus), or simply, diabetes, is a group of diseases characterized by high blood glucose levels that result from defects in the body’s ability to produce and/or use insulin.

There are ways to reduce your risk for developing type 2 diabetes.  Change your diet, increase your level of physical activity and maintain a healthy weight. With these positive steps, you can stay healthier longer and reduce your risk of diabetes.
